There are only two words that matter when you’re looking for top tier hospitality: PRIME Hospitality! PRIME Hospitality was established in 2021 by New Orleans locals, Shane Songy and Shawn Breaud. No strangers to the hospitality industry, the two first met back in 2000 while working together at Pepsi.

After establishing a close personal relationship, the pair went on to break ground professionally in 2005 by parting ways with Pepsi and opening their first of three WOW Cafe & Wingery locations (now known as WOW American Eats). This fast and casual restaurant concept boasts both a menu of offerings that are delicious & high quality and speedy service that goes above & beyond.

It was at WOW that the two realized the importance of being present in their businesses whether it was connecting with clientele or maintaining an open line of communication with their staff, thus ensuring each team member is consistently giving their best each day. These practices would be implemented across the board for all future PRIME Hospitality brand partners and has largely attributed to their success. After achieving a highly favorable outcome, Songy and Breaud began to grow their brand by opening their first of several PJ’s Coffee locations in 2008. PJ’s is a brand that’s been known and loved by New Orleanians since 1978. Every hot, iced & frozen beverage as well as each organic tea and breakfast pastry embodies the pure passion for the art of coffee-making for which PJ’s is known. Using better beans and implementing superior roasting techniques plus friendly and accommodating staff makes every visit pure bliss.

Another five years of continued success led Songy and Breaud to open their most elevated venture yet, Aprés Lounge NOLA, in 2013. It is hailed as NOLA’s first and only ultra champagne lounge. Aprés’ ambiance can be described as sexy, elegant, and exciting. A top shelf sparkling wine menu, the finest mixology, and state of the art technology makes Aprés an ideal upscale venue for private parties, meetings, and social events not to mention being one of the top nightclubs in the Crescent City. With this same vision of luxury, Songy and Breaud opened a second Aprés Lounge on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain in Covington, LA. It has quickly become a must-stop for the best in Northshore nightlife. Aprés offers nightly specials, bubbles, of course, and music from a variety of genres.

But no night out would be complete if it didn’t start with an
exquisite dinner first. The pair partnered with Desi Vega to open Desi Vega’s Steakhouse Northshore alongside Aprés Lounge creating the perfect match. Having conquered fast and casual dining, they were confident in partnering with Desi’s, a well established fine dining brand. It has quickly become a favorite amongst locals. Attention to detail, premium ingredients like 100% USDA Prime Beef & Louisiana seafood, craft cocktails, plus superb service makes Desi Vega’s Steakhouse Northshore and Aprés Lounge Covington the full package.

Also represented by PRIME is the historic French Quarter’s Ghost Bar which opened in 2021. Ghost Bar’s ambiance is as spectacularly spooky as Aprés Lounge is luxurious. This themed bar captures the deliciously eerie spirit of the Quarter with innovative cocktails and late-night bites from their full-service kitchen. It’s the perfect new haunt to enjoy spirits of all sorts with friends. Knowledgeable and friendly staff makes the Ghost Bar a spot you’ll be dying to visit again.

The most recent PRIME Hospitality partnership circles back to NOLA’s Warehouse District with Jackie Sutherlin and Tami Nelson’s Comedy House NOLA. This boutique stand-up comedy club features both local and nationally touring comics. The opening of the Comedy House has brought laughter to an area where a dedicated comedy club has long been desired. A simple and sophisticated interior with an extensive cocktail selection makes CHNO the place to be when you want to share a laugh and toast to good times with great friends.
